Wilson was promoted to run the Detroit Pistons at the age of 28. He stayed with the franchise for decades, as the Pistons won three NBA championships and the organization grew into one of the most successful in pro sports.
In 2010, Wilson was hired by Olympia Entertainment, playing an instrumental role in the development of Little Caesars Arena. He retired at the end of 2020.
