Loyola High School of Detroit is marking its 30th year as a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, educating young men growing up in an urban environment.
A groundbreaking was recently held at the school as part of the $9 million capital campaign, "Empower Loyola: A Campaign for Exceptional Sons". A construction of a 200-seat chapel is a centerpiece of the campaign, the first Catholic chapel or church built in the city of Detroit since the 1960s.
